2024 '470' Shiraz

$75.00

The #470 clone originates from Garonne in France, widely planted in Hermitage and is grown locally in WA, down in Frankland River.

Fermented in open top vessels, hand plunged daily for a gently extraction. Pressed directly to 600L Demi Muid (large barrel) for maturation.

Concentrated and dark fruited with plum, black olive and a touch of saline minerality. This wine is a banger, to drink now and over the next 10 years, it has some serious weight and depth.

We suggest purchasing a Waldron to compare to the 470. The Waldron is perhaps more typical Shiraz whereas the 470 is pushing the boundary. Both are 100% shiraz from the same vineyard in Frankland River (grown right beside each other) and made in a very similar way.

An interesting talking point if you can taste them side by side with a fellow shiraz lover.
