DaBois Amber wine.

Fruit sourced from the Ironstone vineyard in the Wilyabrup subregion. 100% Semillon, fermented on skins for 8 weeks in open top fermenters before spending a further 12 months in 5-year-old French oak barrels.

Bottled under cork with a small addition of sulphur.

Spicy! There is the typical semillon hints of pear and grass with notes of aniseed, 5 spice and ginger.

The palate is rich, textural and driven by fine tannin. A perfect match with antipasto, small share plates.. on the weekend with DaBois (and Girls! )

*Da Bois- is slang for the wood in French. Bois is often seen on wine labels to describe a wine that has spent time in oak barrels.

It is pronounced de bwah in french OR da boyzz in the hood. Perhaps depends on the occasion or who you happen to be drinking with.
